Jane Russell was an American film actress born on June 21, 1921 in Bemidji, Minnesota. Her big break came with Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, where she co-starred with Marilyn Monroe. In addition to her acting talent, she made her mark as a singer by recording an original full-length album. Russell was, and is, considered one of Hollywood’s leading actresses and sex symbols of the mid-20th century.
