Judy Garland was unique, with enormous talent and appeal. She was often described as a triple threat, because she excelled at singing, dancing, and acting. In 1998 Carnegie Hall hosted a two-concert tribute to her, described in their publicity as “a tribute to the world’s greatest entertainer.” Sadly, Judy Garland passed at only 47 years of age.
