Lana Turner was one of M-G-M’s great stars. She married seven times. She started out as “the girl next door” in movies, and was reported to have said, “I expected to have one husband and seven babies.” Another observation attributed to her: “A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man.”
