By now, people know a little about Hedy Lamarr‘s amazing career as a beautiful movie star who also invented things that changed the world for us all. One invention that did not work, however, was her attempt to create a tablet that would work the way Alka-Seltzer does and would transform plain water into something like Coca-Cola. Many of her inventions were inspired by the events surrounding World War II. This one was intended to benefit soldiers overseas in combat.
