American astronaut and physicist Sally Ride received awards throughout her lifetime, and after — they are too numerous to list. She was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame and the  Astronaut Hall of Fame. Elementary schools all across the country have been named in her honor. She remains a role model for young ladies everywhere.
