His initial major hit was on NBC’s TEXACO STAR THEATRE. It ran from 1948 to 1953. Known as both “Uncle Miltie” and “Mr. Television”, he began as a child actor in movies, moved to radio, and enjoyed an entertainment career as a comedian spanning eight decades. Milton Berle earned two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his marks made on radio and television.
