The French professional wrestler known worldwide as Andre the Giant was really Andre Rene Roussimoff. For his great size he was also known as “The Eighth Wonder of the World.” That huge size was caused by excess growth hormones, a condition termed “gigantism.” Apart from his wrestling career, Andre the Giant can be seen as a giant in The Princess Bride (1987).
