This past Friday, May 20, the Chicago Cubs bestowed yet another honor upon Hall of Fame pitcher Ferguson Jenkins, with the unveiling of a statue in his likeness. The ceremony was staged outside Wrigley Field, near the third base gates, where the towering sculpture will take its place on the new “statue row” alongside those for teammates Billy Williams (who was in attendance), and the late Ron Santo, and Ernie Banks. Jenkins, now 79, attended with his family. “I am humbled,” said Fergie. “And now my dreams have come true….Believe me, it’s an honor.” MLB has video coverage here: https://www.mlb.com/
