Join us as we celebrate the 100th Birthday of trumpet virtuoso, John Birks “Dizzy” Gillespie a/k/a the “Ambassador of Jazz” on October 21st. Known for his signature look of puffed out cheeks while blowing into his trumpet with the bell turned up in a 45 degree angle and his signature style of playing, Gillespie inspired and mentored some of the best trumpet players of today’s generation.
